ACA INNOVATION AWARD 2026:
WHERE INNOVATION MEETS INSURANCE
In a constantly changing context, where disruptions multiply at a rapid pace, the insurance and reinsurance sector must adapt to various changes and continue to enhance its competitiveness. Innovation emerges as one of the keys to meeting these challenges and seizing emerging opportunities. It is with this idea in mind that the ACA initiated the ACA Innovation Award, highlighting the crucial role of innovation within the insurance sector in Luxembourg.

6 Startups in Competition

Team 1
Altilia
Altilia is a European deep-tech company and CNR spin-off building the Enterprise Brain: a sovereign Operating System for Agentic AI that enables insurers and financial institutions to deploy trustworthy, governable AI agents on their most data- and document-intensive processes. The Altilia Agentic AI Platform combines proprietary semantic GraphRAG technology, fine-tuned domain models, and orchestrated multi-agent workflows to automate claims management, underwriting, customer onboarding, and regulatory compliance with full auditability and EU AI Act, DORA, and NIS2 alignment. Deployable on-premises or in sovereign cloud environments, the platform is already in production at leading European financial institutions, serving 20,000+ users and processing over 100 million documents at 98% accuracy. As an Agentic AI provider, Altilia brings proven, deployment-ready agentic AI to Luxembourg’s insurance sector.

Team 2
DEVANA
DEVANA is the sovereign AI OS for critical and regulated sectors. One million+ end users rely on it, including a State’s IT infrastructure and a systemic Luxembourg bank under DORA and the AI Act. Its founding patent (AI copilot & RAG, June 2022, six months before ChatGPT) laid the foundation for expertise now extended through partnerships: with LuxProvide, co-operating MeluXina for pre-industrial HPC prototyping; with LIST, PhD teams refining bias control and AI explainability. DEVANA runs AI inside information systems, fully auditable: scoring and tracing every answer to its sources, always logged. ODIN™, its AI-native document intelligence, turns thousands of unstructured documents into verified, AI-ready data in seconds, ideal for insurers. Now in the AI Box, because data never leaves its owner’s infrastructure. Trust is not a feature of the product. It is the product.

Team 3
Figen AI
Figen AI develops the AI-agent platform for wealth-management and insurance professionals. It turns fragmented client data — contracts, statements, KYC files and regulatory texts — into explainable, documented and auditable advice. Its neuro-symbolic engine combines language models with deterministic simulation: AI reads, drafts and recommends, while tax, legal and prudential rules verify every figure before it reaches a client. Every number remains traceable to its source.
The platform integrates 250+ regulatory sources, Morningstar market data and bank-account aggregation across Europe. Inference runs entirely within the EU, and client data is never used to train models. Figen AI serves over 1,300 advisory firms and 5,000 professionals. Selected by Station F as one of Europe’s top 20 AI companies and backed by the French government, Figen AI is building sovereign AI harness infrastructure for European finance professionals.

Team 5
Interloom
Interloom helps enterprises automate complex operational work end to end — from insurance claims and maintenance requests to supply-chain disputes and compliance reviews.
These processes are often too unpredictable for traditional automation and too sensitive for general-purpose AI. Interloom brings AI agents, business tools and human experts into a controlled workflow with clear approvals, built-in escalation, reusable knowledge and a complete audit trail. Everything teams need to build, run and oversee these workflows is built in, enabling them to go from design to production in days. The result is faster, more consistent resolution at lower cost, with clear visibility into every case.

Team 5
kalipso
Kalipso is an AI-powered regulatory intelligence platform for financial organisations. It monitors regulatory developments, identifies the obligations relevant to each organisation, maps potential compliance gaps and helps turn them into structured remediation actions.
By linking recommendations back to source material, Kalipso helps compliance teams move from regulatory change to actionable next steps, including the analysis of policies, procedures and internal controls.

Team 6
MarvelX AI
MarvelX is a vertical AI company built for the insurance claims industry, at the intersection of applied AI and back-office automation. It develops AI systems that help carriers, MGAs and TPAs resolve claims faster and more efficiently with less manual work. Claims teams are often burdened by unstructured documents, manual triage and fragmented core systems.
Its AI reads incoming claim files, flags missing or incomplete data, extracts the relevant facts, matches them against policy terms and precedent, and provides adjusters with a decision-ready summary in seconds. At a current client, it reduced handling time from three weeks to two days. The result is improved customer experience, better financial outcomes and more efficient claims teams. MarvelX serves clients across insurance lines globally.
